Filming in Las Vegas
Permits in Las Vegas are issued by the Nevada Film Office. Nevada Film Office handles permits for state property. Las Vegas Strip casinos and properties are private property — filming requires casino-specific agreements. LVCC filming is coordinated through the venue's production services team. Desert location filming (Red Rock, Valley of Fire) requires different permit authorities.
Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire give you desert scale you cannot get on the coast, with simpler permits than downtown. Fremont Arts District for urban creative. LVCC and casino ballrooms for show coverage.
Summer desert heat is unsafe for crew midday. In June–August, shoot outdoors before 9AM or after 6PM. October–April is the comfortable window. Rain is rarely a factor.
