New Mexico Tech: Mechanical Engineering Department Film
LV Productions is the video production company behind New Mexico Tech videos.
Education / Department Film · 2025
The brief
A department film for New Mexico Tech's Mechanical Engineering program, made for prospective students. It shows what the faculty teach and what students build, from robotics and drones to welding and campus life.
Our approach
The film is built around interviews with Dr. Mostafa Hassanalian, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Curtis O'Malley, Associate Teaching Professor, and a student. We cut them against lab and field b-roll: welding, a robotics lab, a tracked ground robot, a fixed-wing drone and a quadcopter, a student research poster, and aerial shots of the campus.
The result
A 2:25 department film that puts faculty, student researchers and hands-on robotics work in one story, and closes on an Apply at NMT.EDU call to action.
