Nuance Labs — $50M Series A Launch Film
Product Launch · 2026
The brief
Nuance Labs was announcing a $50 million Series A and giving the public its first real look at the product: photoreal avatars that hold a live, face-to-face conversation. The film had to make the funding news land and prove the technology works, since a synthetic human talking back is the kind of claim people assume was faked in post.
Our approach
We opened on the funding card and investor lockup, then let the demo carry the film — sessions of people video-calling the avatar, cut as a split screen so the model's expressions and the user's genuine reactions sit in the same frame. Interviews with co-founder and CEO Fangchang Ma, co-founder and Chief Scientist Karren Yang, and Founding Research Scientist Claudia Vanea carry the research story, intercut with engineering and team b-roll from the office.
The result
Nuance Labs got an announcement film that doubles as product proof — the Series A headline up front, live conversation as the evidence, and a closing waitlist card to convert the attention the news generated.
